What If?

We toss "What If" around like a bad habit these days. We wonder what would happen if we made one decision over another one.

We struggle with thoughts of
What if I am not good enough?
What if I make a mistake?
What if I fail?
What if I let someone down?
What if I never make anything of myself?
What if I can never be used for the Kingdom of God?

We tend to think we have to be perfect at all times but what if...

What if God said we are worthy?
What if God said we can do great things?
What if God said we are capable?
What if God said we are strong?
What if God said we are loved regardless of our flaws?

What if we let God use us to love one another every day?
What if we let God guide us to be cheerful givers? Not just of money but maybe our time.
What if we let God use us to help others out?
What if we let God show us how to encourage each other every day?
What if we let God teach us to lift people up instead of tearing them down?
What if we let God show people how to stand up for what they believe in, in a loving way?
What if we let God inspire others through us?
What if we let God show us things in a positive light?
What if we let God help us to take action to make a difference?
What if we were to let God show us how to be compassionate people?

I am not blind to the world today. I see what is going on right now and I just wonder what if we were to respond with love in our heart? I'm not sure how to fix everything going wrong but I think we start by loving people as Christ loves us. If we do that we can change the world of "What if" into something more positive today.
