A Small Group with Big Love...

I used to consider myself an oyster shell that was clamped down tight. I didn't open up easily and I kept things to myself a lot of the time unless it was family.

In March of 2020 the world turned upside down and what we considered "normal life" no longer existed. We were forced into unknown territory not knowing what the future held for anyone. It was a scary time for everyone but I saw the blessings in it too.

One Sunday morning toward the end of May while watching church online I made the decision to rededicate my life to Christ. I grew up in a family who for as long as I have been around has always known the Lord and I have too but it wasn't until I was an adult that I fully grasped what it meant to be a Christ follower. I was taught how to live a Christ like life by the example of my family.

Shortly after I rededicated my life to Christ I was introduced to a wonderful lady at church who offered me an opportunity to join a small group that meets online weekly. I didn't hesitate at all and signed up quickly. Since I have been in my small group they have encouraged me, supported me, loved me and prayed with and for me every step of the way.

I am at a point now where I can see I have grown and changed. I am more like a butterfly learning to spread my wings. I feel that I can open up share my heart and encourage people and that is all because of the love of God, a big family and a small group who has surrounded me with love, support, encouragement and A LOT of prayer.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I am forever grateful for the tribe God has placed in my life. As I always say I have found my people!
